Colli di Scandiano e di Canossa DOC

Hillside viticulture with a glorious history

Colli di Scandiano e di Canossa. Lambrusco has found an exceptional cultivation area on the hillsides of Reggio Emilia ever since ancient times. And it’s in these hillsides that the wine’s history is intertwined with that of Matilde di Canossa, the 11th-century Tuscan countess best remembered for her role in the conflict between the papacy and the Holy Roman emperor. Here the soils, climate and exposition help create fine Lambrusco wines as well as the fine local aromatic whites like Spergola and Malvasia di Candia.
