The Dukes’ Bubbles

Lambrusco di Modena Modena and Lambrusco together have forged some of the area’s best wines. From rose-coloured to ruby red, with some purple. The Modena DOC denomination goes beyond Lambrusco to include local wines such as sparkling and spumante wines that are white, red, rosé and young red, or novello. The production area for Modena DOC is a swathe of Modena’s province that goes from the mixed and clay rich soils of the low Modena plain to the more limestone-rich hills of the Apennines and their accompanying river valleys.
