A project for the promotion of Lambrusco PDO wines and Prosciutto di Modena PDO in the Italian and German markets 2021/2022
PSR 2014-2020 – MISURA 3 – TIPO DI OPERAZIONE 3.2.01
ATTIVITÀ DI PROMOZIONE E INFORMAZIONE DA GRUPPI DI PRODUTTORI SUI MERCATI INTERNI
(FOCUS AREA 3A)
This is a joint project between the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco and the Consorzio del Prosciutto di Modena PDO. It is being led by the former. Aimed at the Italian and German markets, its goals are to promote the territorial identity of Emilia (in the region of Emilia-Romagna), present up-to-date and detailed information about the characteristics and value of the DOP brand and meet the markets’ demands. This project will provide a perfect opportunity to work on bringing the supply chains of food and wine together through their most natural, traditional and immediate connections: the culture of Italy and, in particular, that of Emilia.
The project’s aim is to increase consumers’ awareness and knowledge about these denominations in order to encourage them to buy high-quality products. Its objective is also to tackle the problem of counterfeits. These promotion and marketing activities will help sustain the agricultural sector’s earnings in these difficult times by reinforcing the perception of the high quality of DOP products through modern initiatives that appeal to younger generations of consumers.
The project will be focused on producing informative and promotional material (advertising, videos and photography), organising informational seminars and holding tastings for both consumers and/or professionals including buyers, journalists and restaurateurs in Italy and in Germany.
Total cost of the project: € 120,000.00
Support granted: € 84,000.00
