This authentic, local wine has long been produced and enjoyed in small holdings and farming families as well as large wineries throughout the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Modena, in northern Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. Their Lambrusco is a pleasurable sparkling wine that brings cheer to the table and marries so perfectly with Emilia’s deliciously rich food – from home-made salumi to hand-rolled tagliatelle – as well as with international cuisines. And it’s their traditional Lambrusco that today is being discovered – and enjoyed – by a new generation of wine lovers. It’s a natural progression that’s taken even the locals by surprise.
